The American Psychiatric Association, the American Psychological Association, the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies, National Alliance on Mental Illness, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, the U.K. National Institute for Health and Care Excellence, the U.S. Dept. of Veterans Affairs/Dept. of Defense, The Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, and the World Health Organization among many other national and international organizations recognize EMDR therapy as an effective treatment.
Health Coaching
Client's truly achieve the next level of healing by resolving digestive distress and adding in exercise to their lives. Improved energy and focus as well as improved health and wellness are the result of healing the gut. This component of therapy is especially important for maintaining the therapeutic gains made from traditional psychology treatment. Without proper gut health and consistent exercise, conditions like anxiety, insomnia and depression will be difficult to completely resolve. Nutritional education, exercise education, individual plans and targeted interventions for weight loss are provided.
Structured Relaxation
Relaxation helps maintain a balanced and peaceful life. Client's learn a variety of structured relaxation exercises; such as, mindfulness, relaxation breathing, progressive relaxation, meditation and visualization as well as many others. Practicing with structured relaxation techniques enables greater control over emotions and an improved quality of life will follow.
